Introduction to the Global Warming

Global warming is the increase of the average temperature ; it is known as the greenhouse effect. Some of the gases in the atmosphere act like a glass surrounding the earth and the emissions act on it and allow the sunlight to come through to heat the earth's surface and also as the greenhouse gases trap or build up in the atmosphere the temperature increases and the earth gets hotter. One of the main greenhouse gases is carbon dioxide (CO2); this gas contributes 50% of the greenhouse effect. Cars are one of the major sources of CO2; the rest comes from burning coal, oil and other fossil fuels. All the charts and the graphs show that the temperature is increasing ; from 2000 to 2007 the line of the graph increases sharply. People nowadays try to slow down the warming as much as possible. Using nuclear power that does not produce CO2 , clean and efficient transportation situation and use of alternative energy such as wave and wind energy are ways of improving the situation.

  1. I liked the part where you said that people nowadays try to slow down the warming as much as possible. And there are some people doesn't even care about global warming or what's happening to the earth.
